Jerome Lyons was born, pink and wrinkly,
in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea, bringing smiles
to the faces
of the Ramano and Agarabi tribes people who lived
near his family home.
His childhood tribal and spiritual experiences have influenced Jerome's
outlook and chosen career.
Since 1985 he has developed a unique approach to musical instrument
building, through his artistic representation of
the Australian Bush.
From his workshop a once-abandoned Cheese
Factory deep in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia,
Jerome creates
a mystical and evocative design characteristic in each
functional musical instrument.
These distinctive instruments have found loving homes
throughout the whole of Australia as well as the USA, UK, Europe,
Asia, and many other countries. Some are available for direct sale,
others on special commission.
Jerome has been involved in many projects and fulfilled many commissions
for both private collections and corporate bodies. |
